It’s about showing Love.
Thousands of patients come to Indianapolis each year from across the Midwest for expertise and specialized care for many types of cancer, cardiovascular disease, organ transplant, high-risk pregnancy, and other conditions.
Fair Haven serves these seriously ill patients and their families. We share the love of Christ during a time of great difficulty by providing a convenient and comfortable place to stay near the hospital.
Our “home away from home” makes urgently needed care accessible for patients and enables families to stay together at a time when they need each other most.
Since 2008, Fair Haven has provided 16,000 nights of lodging to more than 500 families.
Our name comes from the Mediterranean island of “Fair Havens,” where a storm-tossed ship once found refuge (Acts 27:8).
That is truly the heart of our mission: to serve previously-ill patients and their families by providing a refuge in the midst of a storm.
Who We Are
Fair Haven Foundation was founded by Amanda Milner, a cancer survivor herself.
As an employee of Indiana University Health, Amanda saw first-hand the struggle of patients who have been given a life-threatening diagnosis and must leave their homes, families, and jobs to travel to Indianapolis for treatment.
Our board of directors, staff, and dedicated volunteers all have a passion to serve patients and their families and shine the light of Christ’s love during this time of great need.
